Ron Hinson started Hinson Electric in1984. Over the years Ron has grown Hinson Electric into one of the premier electrical contracting companies in the Carolinas employing more than 60 full time employees. In 1975 Ron completed the four year electrical program at Central Piedmont Community College and earned his NC state limited electrical license the following year. In 1987 Ron earned his NC state unlimited electrical license.

Throughout Ron's career he has been been active in several trade associations as well as his local community. Some of Ron's achievements include:

• Member CECA - Past President & Current Treasurer

• Past Chairman & member NC State Building Commission

• Serves on the Monroe Advisory Board for BB&T

• Board of Directors member for the Central North Carolina Council Boy Scouts of America

• Member Midway Baptist Church

• Kiwanis member - Monroe Chapter
